| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Nowadays online shopping is becoming a more popular than traditional retailer system and there is no direct interaction between customer and seller or shop keeper because of the easiness and we can save lot of money through this. Since all the transactions are made through the internet and payment done by Credit card or net banking which is not secure. So it is important to keep the customers personal information and sensitive data like credit card details, password .etc. in a secure way.
Also e-commerce system must be able to control and manage large number of request and user credential from attackers. That’s why role of security in an e-commerce system is one of the most important criteria. So it’s mandatory to the developer to provide security in their system or sites.
Current technology allows for secure site design. It is up to the development team to be both proactive and reactive in handling security threats, and up to the shopper to be vigilant when shopping online. Ecommerce is growing rapidly and numbers of technologies have converged to facilitate the proliferation of e-Commerce. The best we can do is to show that a specific system is resistant against a set of well-known attacks. It is important to keep in mind that while each of these security measures described, do afford a good sense of protection, we should not just use only one of them as our means of defense from threats and attacks.
|
