| General note | Public funds are usually spent with no real monetary control and this can<br/>often lead to manipulation and misguidance of funds. This project aims at<br/>building a transparent accountable system for monitoring public fund expenditure<br/>, projects and schemes. The Social audit is a concept where people<br/>who are beneciaries of government schemes and projects get an opportunity<br/>to evaluate the implementation and Progress of these initiatives. Social audit<br/>architecture is based on a set of volunteers, who provides data regarding the<br/>progression of a public project. The submitted data is validated by the peer<br/>volunteers and is recored as an ocial proof of progress. Every volunteer is<br/>rated according to their actions and contributions in the network. We use the<br/>blockchain technology to keep the record of progress , this help induce transparency<br/>in the system . The blockchain helps keep a chronological record of<br/>a project progress and the distribution of funds.<br/>Blockchain is a Digital platform capable of allowing the induction of certain<br/>problem resolution responsibilities to individuals in a society and make<br/>them accountable for their actions via a transparent and immutable recording<br/>system. The proposed project allows the normal citizens of a community<br/>to oversee and audit the social or public development activities ran by any<br/>government or private rms in their locality. Every details aquired by the<br/>volunteers will be recorded using a transparent and immutable system which<br/>holds them accountable for their actions. A feedback mechanism helps to<br/>rate the eciency of the individuals involved in the system and a karma<br/>rating is given to all the volunteers. |
