General note Planning in rural areas in India is a challenge, due to diverse socio-economic<br/>and agro-climatic zones. Spatial planning in rural areas means, arranging<br/>the land use that is critical to the economic development of aspirations of<br/>the rural people. Spatial planning refers to the methods used to in<br/>uence the<br/>distribution of people and activities in spaces of various scales and topology,<br/>for habitat environment, having basic infrastructure of communication and<br/>transport, and access to basic provisions of life and sustenance. Here we are<br/>doing study on the available land and water resources using remotely sensed<br/>data.The objectives of this planning are based on preparation of thematic<br/>layers based on socio-economic factors.Generation of action plan for infrastructure<br/>we can do with these layer generation. To map thematic information<br/>by interpreting the satellite imagery's and also from available resources. The<br/>thematic layers include land use and land cover, drainage, watersheds, roads,<br/>slope etc. To prepare the thematic layers based on the Socio-Economic data<br/>available in Mission Antyodaya for easy understanding, analysis and for usage<br/>of mapped data in future planning exercise, To generate the action plans<br/>for infrastructure, water resource development etc. The nal action plan will<br/>be useful for recharge ground water-zone and raises the level of water table.
