ESPY: A world of IoT assets - MSC MI 2016-2018

The issue of data warehouse is paramount issue in any organization. Therefore, to solve
the problem here we are implementing an asset management system that cover Asset
Management, procurement, identifies, recognize and gives an assistant to help us in doing the
above.
Actually, the main basic problem is identifying assets. Here, in our real life, we might be
not aware about most of the assets around us. Sometime it may be small assets stored in
containers while sometime large assets to be identified. Therefore, our system will help us in
recognizing them individually and help us to detect what type of assets they actually are with the
descriptions and much more reliable information.
The main method adopted here is tagging. However, the problem is that we cannot use it
for small assets, as it is costlier and not reliable. As a remedy for this problem here, we are using
Image recognition technique upon Inception_v3 model. It has a feature that both large and small
assets can be identified using this method. Here, for this project, we are building a device that
recognizes and identifies the assets with help of active and passive tags else identify assets using
camera scanning.
The result obtained from passive tags (NFC/ RFID), active tags (active RFID/Beacon)
and image recognizer are send to web application running on cloud. Later the detailed result
from cloud is passes to the user through API call’s and the personal assistant build using Dialogflow.
