Planning in rural areas in India is a challenge, due to diverse socio-economic
and agro-climatic zones. Spatial planning in rural areas means, arranging
the land use that is critical to the economic development of aspirations of
the rural people. Spatial planning refers to the methods used to in
uence the
distribution of people and activities in spaces of various scales and topology,
for habitat environment, having basic infrastructure of communication and
transport, and access to basic provisions of life and sustenance. Here we are
doing study on the available land and water resources using remotely sensed
data.The objectives of this planning are based on preparation of thematic
layers based on socio-economic factors.Generation of action plan for infrastructure
we can do with these layer generation. To map thematic information
by interpreting the satellite imagery's and also from available resources. The
thematic layers include land use and land cover, drainage, watersheds, roads,
slope etc. To prepare the thematic layers based on the Socio-Economic data
available in Mission Antyodaya for easy understanding, analysis and for usage
of mapped data in future planning exercise, To generate the action plans
for infrastructure, water resource development etc. The nal action plan will
be useful for recharge ground water-zone and raises the level of water table.
