Protocol facilitation management system

Protocol set up in the Government means the system of rules governing the
formal occasions, to be hosted by a Government or the accepted way to
behave in a formal situation. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala is the
Minister in charge of Protocol with regard to the State Government. Political
department under the General Administration Department of the state is in
charge of the protocol arrangements relating to the visits of VVIPs, VIPs
and other dignitaries. Other than the above, the following functions are also
handled by the department.
1. Swearing-in and farewell ceremonies for Governor .
2. Swearing-in ceremony of Council of Ministers.
3. Independence Day celebrations.
4. Republic Day celebrations .
5. State funerals.
6. State Lunch/ Dinner hosted by the Chief Minister and other Ministers
However, arrangements for visits form the routine function of the department.
Through this project, we attempt to conduct a detailed study for the scope
of automation/ computerization of major share of the processes handled by
the protocol division when it undertakes a visit of a VIP to the state . The
DPR will mainly include the proposal for re-engineering the present process
which is more of manual in nature and thereby developing a user-friendly
web system for handling the above task.
